After signing with the New York Giants in March, the franchise recently announced last week a decision to move on from former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey. However, New York announced today the franchise will resign Humphrey.

A native of the esteemed Southlake Carrol High School’s esteemed football program, Humphrey played at Texas from 2016 to 2018 during both the Charlie Strong and Tom Herman’s eras. As a junior in 2018, Humphrey recorded over 1,100 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Humphrey declared for the NFL Draft after the 2018 college football season. Although he would go undrafted, later that offseason, Humphrey signed with the New Orleans Saints, where he competed for playing time that year and through the 2021 NFL postseason. He then moved on to the New England Patriots for a year in 2022 before landing with head coach Sean Payton’s Denver Broncos, where Humphrey played during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
