The New York Giants suffered a stunning loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, allowing 33 fourth-quarter points in one of the biggest comebacks in NFL history.

The Giants led the home-team Broncos 19-0 heading into the fourth quarter at Mile High Stadium. With just six minutes remaining in the game, Brian Daboll’s New York squad led 26-8.

Broncos quarterback Bo Nix and the Denver offense scored four touchdowns in the fourth quarter and sealed the 33-32 final score with a game-winning field goal from kicker Will Lutz.

This devastating loss was understandably frustrating for the Giants’ organization, prompting questions regarding some potential changes to the New York coaching staff.

But during his media availability on Monday, Daboll said he has no plans to alter his coaching staff, coordinators or play-callers.

“We all got to do a better job. Starts with me, and there’s plenty of opportunities to finish that game the way we wanted to. We didn’t get the job done,” Daboll said, via team insider Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic.

The Giants opened the 2025 season with three consecutive losses. The team made a quarterback change in Week 4, benching veteran signal caller Russell Wilson in favor of rookie QB Jaxson Dart. Since that change, the Broncos are 2-2, including a 34-17 upset victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6.

Dart finished Sunday’s loss to the Broncos with 283 yards, three touchdowns and a crucial fourth-quarter interception during the Giants’ collapse. He also rushed for 11 yards and another touchdown on the ground.

“I can’t do that,” Dart said when asked about his interception after the game. “We were in full control of the game. In that situation, you can’t do that. So, that was an unacceptable mistake by me.”

New York will take the field for a Week 8 rematch against the Eagles on Sunday.
