Penn State has found a replacement for its opening on the special teams staff.

The Nittany Lions hired Allen Tucker to be a special teams analyst, per the team’s staff directory. The moves comes weeks after former analyst Keith Bruno left the program.

Tucker spent 2024 at Troy holding the same position. The move places reunites him with transfer receiver Devonte Ross, who earned second-team All-Sun Belt honors as a return specialist.

Prior to his time with Troy, Tucker was with former Penn State offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead for two seasons at Akron, which ranked No. 10 nationally in punt coverage in 2023. The Zips also had a trio of players receive All-MAC honors during Tucker’s stint.

Tucker was Mississippi State’s special teams quality control assistant for four seasons before his stop at Akron.
