Minnesota Vikings drafted Blue Mountain Tight End Gavin Bartholomew from Pittsburgh in the sixth round. He played in 49 career games at Pitt, the most games played by tight end in program history. He finished his career with 1,257 receiving yards on 104 catches with 11 touchdowns. His 104 catches are the most by a Panthers tight end, while his receiving yards total is the second highest in the same category and his 11 receiving scores rank fourth.

Former Lakeland Tight End CJ Dippre and Southern Columbia’s Julian Fleming both signed undrafted free agent deals with NFL teams.

Dippre who played at Maryland and Alabama was expected to be drafted in the late rounds of this weekends NFL draft. Instead he signed on with the New England Patriots.

Penn State receiver Fleming signed on with the Green Bay Packers. The former Tiger played 4 years at Ohio State before transferring to the Nittany Lions. Last season he caught 14 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown last season.
