The Winnipeg Jets won the Presidents’ Trophy for having the best regular season record, but it’s their second-round opponent, the Dallas Stars, that are among the favorites to win the Stanley Cup. Before Monday’s games, the Stars were the favorite on BetMGM to lift the Cup. A win in Tuesday’s Game 4, would further cement Dallas’ status among the top contenders remaining in the NHL playoffs.

The Jets will look to even their Round 2 series with their Central Division foes following a 5-2 Game 3 loss they’d like to have a word about.
A lengthy video review to determine whether Stars defenseman Alex Petrovic kicked the puck in resulted in a good goal, putting the Jets behind 3-2, a deficit they wouldn’t recover from.

The series is a power vs. power matchup, one the Stars definitely won in Game 3. But the Jets should be more than capable of holding their own — they won Game 2 4-0, after all — and need to figure out how to outplay star Mikko Rantanen, who scored another goal and totaled three points on Sunday.
