Iowa State football quarterback Rocco Becht on why loss to Colorado hits hard.

Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season is in the books, and several former Iowa State football players had huge hands in the performances of their teams.

The collection of ex-Cyclones in the NFL continues to grow, with several more added to rosters this season after having around a dozen consistently active last season. While star-studded names like Breece Hall, Allen Lazard and David Montgomery dominate the alumni list, several others who Iowa State fans will recognize are making significant impacts at the pro level, too.

With that, here are three ex-Cyclones who stood out in Week 7 of the NFL season.

Jaylin Noel, Houston Texans WR

The Texans’ offense was stuck in the mud for most of their 27-19 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football. But Noel snagged up what production was there.

The former Iowa State wide receiver had his best game as a pro, hauling in four catches for 77 yards on seven targets. That performance nearly doubled Noel’s season catch total. Through six games, he has nine receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown.

Breece Hall, New York Jets RB

The Jets will win one game this season…maybe? Hall and his teammates will certainly keep trying.

In New York’s 13-6 home loss to the Carolina Panthers, the former Iowa State running back finished with 11 carries for 38 yards and two receptions for eight yards. On the season, Hall has 99 carries for 448 yards and 19 catches for 164 yards. He’s still looking for his first end-zone visit of 2025.

David Montgomery, Detroit Lions RB

Jahmyr Gibbs stole the rushing yards with a huge game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Montgomery still found a few spots to be productive in the Lions’ 24-9 win.

The former Iowa State running back finished with 13 carries for 21 yards and two catches for 18 yards. On the season, Montgomery has 78 carries for 355 yards and four touchdowns to go with 11 catches for 96 yards.
