Tbe Washington Commanders announced two roster moves today. DE Dorance Armstrong suffered a knee injury during Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, and will be done for the year according to head coach Dan Quinn. He was dealing with a hamstring injury from the Bears game on Monday Night Football the previous week, and played despite not practicing during the short week.

That move is now official, and the team is signing DE Jalyn Holmes to the 53-man roster to take his spot. Holmes was released on Saturday to make room for Sam Cosmi, who was activated from the Reserve/PUP list after tearing his ACL in January. Holmes has been with the team since last season, and will rejoin a defensive line that has been rocked by injuries this year. Deatrich Wise Jr(quad) and Javontae Jean-Baptiste(pec) have already been placed on IR earlier this season.

In other injury news, WRs Terry McLaurin(quad) and Deebo Samuel(heel) are expected to practice this week. McLaurin has missed the last four games and Samuel missed his first game of the season after managing the injury for the previous two games. The Commanders also placed WR Noah Brown(groin) on IR last week after he missed his fourth game.

“The plan is to have full weeks of practice for them,” head coach Dan Quinn said on SiriusXM’s “Movin’ The Chains”.

QB Jayden Daniels suffered a hamstring on Sunday that has been described as “not significant or long-term” but we’ll have to wait until there’s another update to have a better idea on if he’ll be able to play when the Commanders visit the Kansas City Chiefs for another Monday Night Football game.
