A lot will be determined this week in Northern Colorado high school football.
Several conference championships can be clinched, including from Wellington vs. Resurrection Christian in the 2A North league.
Plus, Timnath hosts an intriguing matchup against their east-of-Interstate-25 conference mates in top-5 Windsor.
Here’s how the Week 9 schedule looks, including the top Fort Collins-area and regional football games to watch.

Can anyone stop these Wizards? We’ll find out more in the next few weeks, starting Oct. 24 with a short road trip north to Timnath.
Windsor (7-0, 2-0 league) has had five blowouts sandwiched around a couple competitive games against Roosevelt and Severance.
The Cubs (4-3, 1-1) are much closer to those latter teams and certainly pushed Windsor last year in a 14-6 road defeat.
Timnath has the kind of stout defense that can match up physically with a line like the Wizards have, already proving that in a road shutout upset at No. 10 Thompson Valley and an 11-point loss at No. 1 Mead.
Can the Cubs pull another upset? Will Windsor make its case for No. 1? Stay tuned.

The Eagles (7-0, 3-0 league) continued their season-long rampage last week, beating up on a second straight top-10 league opponent in Eaton.
After two quality losses early on, the Cougars (5-2) have been nearly as impressive in league play, starting 3-0 in conference with an average winning margin of 34 points per game.
This should be an absolute slugfest. Both teams field impressive defenses that can really force turnovers and set up short fields for grinding rushing attacks with big-play ability.
And given the two teams’ wins to date, this game will clinch the conference championship for the winner.
