It was a tough afternoon for Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who fell 24-9 to the  Detroit Lions in Michigan on Saturday.

Mayfield finished with  228 yards, a touchdown and an interception in an uneven performance that stalled several Tampa Bay drives. The Lions scored a 27-yard touchdown pass on their first offensive drive, putting pressure on the Buccaneers early.

Detroit running back Jahmyr Gibbs had a phenomenal game, with 218 yards and two touchdowns on only 20 touches.

With this loss, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers drop to a 5-2 record, still at the top of the NFC South.

Mayfield and the Buccaneers head to New Orleans, where they will play the Saints (1-6) on Oct. 26 at 3 p.m.
