This explains why the Denver Broncos cut offensive lineman Karsen Barnhart from the practice squad on Tuesday.

The Broncos are signing lineman Marques Cox to their practice squad, according to a report from KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. Barnhart was let go to make room for Cox’s arrival.

Cox (6-5, 305 pounds) joined the team this spring as an undrafted free agent out of Kentucky. After going to training camp and competing in preseason, Cox was cut during final roster cuts in August. Two months later, Cox worked out for the Broncos last week, and he’s now returning to the team on the practice squad.
