The Kansas City Chiefs placed rookie defensive lineman Omarr Norman-Lott on their injured reserve list on Tuesday, October 21.

To get its roster back to 53 players, Kansas City signed rookie defensive back Kevin Knowles.

Norman-Lott was the Chiefs’ second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, and played a modest role for Kansas City’s defense in his first weeks as a professional. He tore his ACL during the Chiefs’ win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday and is set to miss the rest of the season due to his injury.

Kansas City’s roster moves were announced in a post to the Chiefs’ official Twitter account:

Knowles signed with Kansas City as an undrafted free agent earlier this year, and was among the Chiefs’ top standouts during training camp.

Though he didn’t make the Chiefs’ initial 53-man roster, Knowles joined Kansas City’s practice squad after the preseason, and was elevated for three of the Chiefs’ first seven games before joining the team’s active roster.
