Riverside hosted Lakeside on Oct. 17, for homecoming and the Rams defense kept the game close early.

With an Eagles scoring drive sandwiched between, the Riverside defense recovered a fumble on the opening Lakeside possession and collected another takeaway on an interception in the end zone by Landon Edwards.

Trailing 28-0 at halftime, Rams defender Zach Schneider looked to give the Rams a jump start with a 44-yard fumble return for a score to end the first Lakeside drive after halftime.

The visitors would add two more scores for a 42-7 victory.

Sean Trochta led the Rams with 68 yards rushing on 16 carries.

Deer Park traveled to West Valley to face the undefeated league leading Eagles.

With the home side up 14-0 in the second quarter, Deer Park drove the ball deep into West Valley territory and got on the board when Ben Jordan connected on a 25-yard field goal.

West Valley would keep the Stags off the scoreboard for the remainder of the contest and take a 48-3 win.
