SALT LAKE CITY – Former BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy went on NBC this week and listed the top five toughest quarterbacks he’s faced.

In order from one to five, Van Noy named Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Aaron Rodgers, and Josh Allen.

He left his current teammate, Lamar Jackson, off his list, saying, “I don’t want to give him too much credit, right?”

However, in response to this clip coming out on social media, Van Noy said, “No way y’all took this list like gospel right? Ain’t no way. LJ on my team you slaps!!!”

Van Noy and Jackson have had their fair share of duels, both as teammates and as opponents. Jokes aside, it’s almost guaranteed that the two-time MVP would have made his list as Van Noy has had almost nothing but high praise for the Ravens’ shot caller over the years.

As a 12-year NFL veteran who has played for five teams, Van Noy has faced many elite QBs.

Some notable names left out of his top five include Russell Wilson, Matthew Stafford, Philip Rivers, Cam Newton, and Andrew Luck.

About Kyle Van Noy

After the 2019 season, the linebacker signed with the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins released Van Noy after one season in South Beach and he returned to New England on a two-year deal. The 2021 season was the lone year of Van Noy’s second stint with the Patriots.

Van Noy signed with the Los Angeles Chargers in May 2022.

The linebacker recorded 46 total tackles, 30 solo tackles, five sacks, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and three pass breakups during the regular season.
