Gannon has yet to pose a plan to end to that Cardinals’ losing streak

Talk is cheap for the commonly waged United States American citizen. However, for Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon, epic post-game speeches used to explain a horrendous five-game losing streak in 2025 has earned him roughly $5 million in salary since he signed with the franchise in 2023.

Gannon’s salary isn’t publicly disclosed, so that number isn’t verified but the Cardinals franchise isn’t likely to come up short regarding payroll as much as the team comes up short in contest. Week 6 was no different for Gannon and the Cardinals who were again defeated 27-23 by the Green Bay Packers this past weekend. All of the teams losses this season have been by a deficit of fewer than seven points but week 7’s loss seemed exponentially more painful considering that the Cardinals held a lead at halftime.

Gannon’s telepathic brilliance was on full display when he elected for a dull quarterback sneak on 4th & 1 from the Cardinals 48 yard line with 5:58 to go in regulation. The play call resulted in a turnover on downs, and simultaneously ignited the Packers on their late game push to take the lead in the fourth-quarter. Whether administration is willing to admit it or nor, the sour losing-streak has taken it’s toll on fans who are pleading for change to happen.

Ultimately, Gannon has to assume responsibility for the lack of execution. As the leader of the team, consectutive losses and long-winded post-game speeches are only adding insult to injury as the team hopes to climb out the hole.
