I’ve been selected to dissect Eisner’s latest mock draft. I’ve identified my favorite selections, scheme fits, and the best prospect not selected. I also have some question marks. Let’s dive into The Draft Network’s latest 2026 NFL mock draft.

Favorite Pick: Jordyn Tyson, WR, New York Giants (No. 8 overall)

The 2026 wide receiver class is shaping up to be incredible. Despite new competitors seemingly emerging every weekend, Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson is still WR1. Tyson is a big-play threat and crafty route-runner capable of creating advantageous matchups for himself all over the offensive formation.

The Giants possess a thrilling young offense with Jaxson Dart at quarterback and Cam Skattebo at running back. Adding Tyson to the roster and pairing him with Malik Nabers would provide head coach Brian Daboll with quite the offensive cast to work with next season. The Giants are improving and Tyson would be another exciting addition.

Biggest Question Mark: Ty Simpson, QB, Miami Dolphins (No. 2 overall)

The Miami Dolphins may be preparing to move on from struggling quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. He’s thrown three interceptions in consecutive games and the Dolphins appear headed for a rebuild. Both general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel are at risk of being fired.

Eisner went bold with the Dolphins drafting Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson at No. 2 overall. Simpson has been outstanding for the Crimson Tide this season, but he’s still just started seven career games. Will any team be comfortable enough with the sample size to draft him with a top-five selection?

Best Scheme Fit: Caleb Banks, DT, Los Angeles Chargers (No. 20 overall)

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh believes in playing hard-nosed football. The goal is to dominate the line of scrimmage. Drafting a physical defensive tackle like Caleb Banks would further reinforce their team identity.

Several Chargers defensive linemen are scheduled for free agency. That includes both interior (Teair Tart, Naquan Jones, and Da’Shawn Hand) and EDGE (Khalil Mack and Odafe Oweh) defenders. Banks would fill a hole while making the Chargers stouter and tougher up the middle.

Best Value: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Denver Broncos (No. 26 overall)

Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq is our No. 12-ranked player in our Draft Network 100 prospect rankings update. Despite that, the positional premium conversation has Saqiq sliding to the Denver Broncos at the 26th pick in Eisner’s latest first-round mock draft. That would represent terrific value for the Broncos.

Sophomore Broncos quarterback Bo Nix enjoyed his best performance of the campaign in Sunday’s come-from-behind victory over the New York Giants. Nix continues to grow and develop, having thrown four touchdowns and zero interceptions over the previous three games. Evan Engram isn’t a long-term solution at TE, and Sadiq would provide Denver’s young quarterback with another weapon next season.

Best Player Not Selected: Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU

Eisner’s mock draft is our first to not include LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier. In fact, the Tigers quarterback had been a top-10 selection in our previous five iterations. Nussmeier has struggled this season and his latest string of performances has been disappointing, with recent losses to Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
