The Chicago Bears will hit the road this week to face a disappointing Baltimore Ravens team, who have build themselves as a top threat in the AFC over the last few seasons.

With two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson leading the franchise, the Ravens have been a consistent top team in the AFC and the NFL over the last few seasons. But this year has been a huge disappointment, as they are 1-5 and Jackson has been battling a hamstring injury.

Head coach John Harbaugh has been running the show since 2008, and he’s consistently has built a high-quality team on both sides of the ball, especially on defense. For this week’s edition of “Gimme Him,” we’re not looking at the defensive stars in Baltimore or the high-level playmakers on offense, rather, we’re targeting a player that the Bears could’ve pursued in free agency this past offseason, left tackle Ronnie Stanley.

This season, Stanley has earned a 70.0 grade from Pro Football Focus, which ranks 27th out of 77 tackles in the league, with a run block grade that has him at 20th in the NFL. Last offseason, Stanley signed a three-year, $60 million contract to return to Baltimore, while Chicago spent their resources in acquiring offensive linemen Joe Thuney, Jonah Jackson, and Drew Dalman.

Best known for his run blocking ability, Stanley would be a significant upgrade to the left tackle position, where Chicago has shuffled in veteran Braxton Jones and second-year player Theo Benedet. Chicago also selected tackle Ozzy Trapilo in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft but have moved him around from both the left tackle and right tackle spots, leaving them with no concrete answer at left tackle.

Stanley would be a definite upgrade, and despite all the high-profiled players that Baltimore showcases on offense and defense, there would be no bigger addition to the Bears roster than the veteran left tackle.
