Bucs, Dolphins have road games, Jaguars have bye | NFL preview video

The New Orleans Saints host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 4:05 p.m. Sunday; the Miami Dolphins head to Atlanta for a 1 p.m. game.

General manager James Gladstone has already made several trades this season, including acquiring CB Greg Newsome II and drafting Travis Hunter.Potential trade targets to address team needs include WR Jakobi Meyers, DL Calais Campbell, and S Kyle Dugger. The 2025 NFL trade deadline is at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

As the Jacksonville Jaguars continue through their bye week, they must evaluate the team’s roster and potentially acquire new players to fill needs that have popped up through seven games.

Jaguars general manager James Gladstone has already shown the team would not hold back if they feel there’s a deal to be made for the franchise’s future. The most recent example of that came just a couple of weeks ago when the 34-year-old GM traded cornerback Tyson Campbell and a future pick to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for CB Greg Newsome II and a pick in return.

So far, Gladstone and Jacksonville have made multiple trades for players in the lead-up to the season, including sending a pick to Detroit for former Lions receiver Tim Patrick and a pick to New Orleans for former Saints defensive lineman Khalen Saunders.

The team’s biggest move this year was a trade up with the Browns during the 2025 NFL Draft for the right to select cornerback/receiver Travis Hunter. Hunter has quickly become one of the team’s best players with a high-end ability to play on both sides of the ball.

With the 2025 NFL trade deadline approaching, we take a look at what players the team could acquire to give the franchise some help as they look to make the playoffs in the first year under head coach Liam Coen and his staff.

Jaguars trade deadline targets

Jacksonville has needs at multiple positions on both sides of the ball, so here is a closer look at the Jaguars’ best targets at the NFL trade deadline.

Jakobi Meyers, WR, Las Vegas Raiders

Meyers requested a trade months ago and still wants one, according to what he told reporters recently. The Jaguars have issues at receiver after Tim Patrick sustained a groin injury, and due to ongoing issues with holding onto the football.

The only players with 100 or more targets and zero drops in 2024, according to Pro Football Focus? Meyers.

The Jaguars are familiar with Campbell, who played for the team from 2017-19 before being traded away ahead of the 2020 season. Campbell, 39, remains a productive player with three sacks, five tackles for loss and 19 total tackles this season. He’d help shore up the team’s inside pass rush, while offering veteran leadership to the group as a whole.

Kyle Dugger, S, New England Patriots

The Jaguars do not have the answers they need at safety. They’ve been hampered by missed assignments at times and Dugger could fill the need as a band-aid player. Not to mention, starter Eric Murray ought to be watched closely after being ruled out of the game last week against the Rams with a neck injury.

The Jaguars have major pass-rush issues. Travon Walker remains in a cast/club on his left hand/wrist and will be limited as a result. Phillips adds a rental pass rusher to a group led by Josh Hines-Allen and gives the team options rather than self-defeats.

Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens

Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange will remain out for at least a couple more weeks after being placed on injured reserve on Oct. 7. Jacksonville misses the sure-handed tight end and could use help in the receiver room. Andrews helps on both ends, and his time is almost up in Baltimore (as is Baltimore’s season).
