The NFL’s Week 8 Thursday night matchup features a pair of 2024 playoff teams looking to return to the postseason in 2025.

The Minnesota Vikings (3-3, 4th in NFC North) will be heading west to face off against the Los Angeles Chargers (4-3, 2nd in AFC West) on Thursday, Oct. 23 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The Thursday Night Football matchup will be broadcasted nationally exclusively on Prime Video, scheduled for an 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

Both teams are looking to rebound from Week 7 losses, with the Vikings losing 28-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Oct. 19 and the Chargers losing 38-24 to the Indianapolis Colts.

Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh, currently in his second year of his second NFL stint, could have faced off against his former player in Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy, but the former Michigan star has been ruled out of Thursday’s game with an ankle injury he suffered in a Week 2 loss against the Atlanta Falcons.
