A former Penn State linebacker is set to hit the waiver wire.

The Minnesota Vikings waived Kobe King, the team announced Thursday.

King was a sixth-round pick for the Vikings in the 2025 NFL draft. He appeared in five games this season, tallying four tackles.

During his time in Happy Valley from 2021-24, King played in 46 games, including 27 starts. He was an All-Big Ten second-teamer in 2024, totaling 97 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and a forced fumble.
