The Washington Commanders have a monumental task in front of them for Week 8. Looking to snap a two-game losing streak, Washington is on the road for Monday Night Football, where it will face the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. It will take a complete team effort for the Commanders to pull off the upset, especially with quarterback Jayden Daniels missing Monday’s game.
Washington began its week of preparation on Thursday with some excellent news: Wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel were both full participants. That’s especially good news for quarterback Marcus Mariota, who will make his third start of the season on Monday night.
You can see in the following clip from Ben Standig that McLaurin and Samuel are working hard at stops and breaks, and there are no apparent issues.
The key for McLaurin and Samuel is how they react on Friday to a full day of practice. If either is limited, will there be a concern about their availability for Monday night?
It was a good start to the week for Washington. We’ll see how things progress over the next two days. If McLaurin and Samuel make the trip to Kansas City this weekend, you can almost guarantee they are suiting up on Monday night.
