Five Bills players were listed as limited on Wednesday, including Matt Milano and Dalton Kincaid. Maxwell Hairston also returned to practice.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A lot of familiar names appeared on the Buffalo Bills‘ first injury report following their bye week.

Three players did not practice Wednesday afternoon in Orchard Park: safety Taylor Rapp (knee), defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (calf), and wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee/ankle). Jones was injured during pregame warmups before the Bills’ Week 6 24-14 loss in Atlanta, while Palmer’s injury happened during that Monday night game.

Buffalo listed five players as limited on Wednesday: linebacker Terrel Bernard (ankle), cornerback Maxwell Hairston (knee), tight end Dalton Kincaid (oblique), linebacker Matt Milano (pectoral), and wide receiver Curtis Samuel (ribs).

Hairston was placed on injured reserve before the season began following a knee injury he suffered early in training camp. He returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time this week after the team opened up his 21-day practice window.

“When I found out what the injury really was, I was just happy that it wasn’t like an ACL or something surgical,” Hairston said. “So when I found out that it was something that could be healed without surgery, I didn’t complain. I just kind of took it to the chin and just looked at it as a blessing in disguise.”

The Bills kick off at 1 p.m. Sunday against the Panthers in Carolina, which has one notable injury. Quarterback Bryce Young did not practice on Wednesday due to an ankle injury.

Veteran Andy Dalton would start at quarterback, if Young can’t play. Young’s injury is listed as a right ankle sprain, which happened during the second half of Sunday’s 13-6 win over the New York Jets.
