Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Trey Hendrickson is questionable for his team’s clash with the New York Jets.
After being listed on the injury report as questionable Oct. 22 and Oct. 23, Taylor told local media members on Oct. 24 that Hendrickson remained questionable for the Oct. 26 game at Paycor Stadium.
Asked if Hendrickson would see the field for the game, in which the 3-4 Bengals could return to .500 with a victory, Taylor said, “We’ll see. Questionable today, so we’ll see.”
Hendrickson sustained a hip injury during the Oct. 12 loss against the Green Bay Packers and subsequently missed the Bengals’ Thursday Night Football win against the Pittsburgh Steelers Oct. 16.
Hendrickson has four sacks this season, and his absence was felt during the win against the Steelers. Pittsburgh quarterback Aaron Rodgers wasn’t sacked and threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns even as he was intercepted twice.
Cam Taylor-Britt bounces back after being inactive vs. Pittsburgh
Cam Taylor-Britt became a pregame news item prior to the Bengals-Steelers game when it was revealed he’d be inactive for the must-win game. But Taylor-Britt responded well in the wake of that setback, Taylor indicated.
“Cam’s had a good week, and so he’s (put) himself back,” Taylor said.
Taylor-Britt starred for Cincinnati in 2023 but has been inconsistent since then. He was benched multiple times in 2024.
Taylor said after the win against the Steelers that it was still possible for Taylor-Britt to play meaningful snaps this year if he improved, and some improvement took place in practice this week.
