The Buffalo Bills will be without several key players on Sunday when they take on the Carolina Panthers.

Defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, wide receiver Joshua Palmer and safety Taylor Rapp are all out for the game due to injuries.

Rapp has been placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. Veteran Jordan Poyer could be in line to see more playing time at safety with Rapp out of action for at least the next four weeks.

Poyer is in his second stint with the Bills, rejoining the club on the practice squad after spending last year with Miami.

The former All-Pro player has plenty of veteran experience in the Bills system.

“It’s a great example of unselfishness,” said head coach Sean McDermott. “Being a part of something bigger than oneself and, you know, as accomplished as he’s been to be able to get yourself to embrace that kind of attitude, that mind of mindset. That doesn’t happen all the time.”

Tight end Dalton Kincaid and linebackers Matt Milano, and Terrel Bernard are all questionable to play in Sunday’s game.

Rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston remains on injured reserve, but his status for the game is up in the air as he makes his way back from a knee injury.

The Bills will get some help on defense this week, however, as defensive end Michael Hoecht and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi both return from suspension.

Kickoff is at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
