The Tennessee Titans entered Friday with an open spot on their 53-man roster after releasing Tyler Lockett and placing L’Jarius Sneed on injured reserve, and decided to use it to add some much-needed depth to their receiving corps.

The Titans announced that they have promoted veteran Mason Kinsey from the practice squad to the team’s active roster ahead of their Week 8 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts

Kinsey is a familiar face in Nashville. Signed as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2020 NFL draft, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound wide receiver has bounced between Tennessee’s practice squad and active roster since entering the league.

In his career, Kinsey has appeared in 16 games, recording four receptions for 26 yards, and has played multiple roles on special teams. Most recently, he was elevated to the practice squad in Week 7 against the New England Patriots.

The newly promoted Kinsey and his Titans teammates will face the Colts on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
