Video: Bengals QB Joe Flacco talks Week 8 prep, Dad Life in Cincinnati

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco speaks on adjustments and dad life in Cincinnati.

Quarterback Justin Fields will likely get the start for the New York Jets against the Cincinnati Bengals after all.

Fields, a day before the Jets-Bengals game on Oct. 25, appeared to be in position retain his job as the Jets starter for another week despite his struggles this season, which produced critics all the way up to the organization’s owner’s suite. Backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor appeared set to overtake Fields for the starting job at Paycor Stadium on Oct. 26 but Taylor was declared out for the game due to a knee injury.

A New York Post report initially stated Taylor wouldn’t make the trip to Cincinnati due to the injury.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said during a news conference leading up to the Bengals-Jets game that his team would prepare for both quarterbacks. Throughout the week, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn declined to name a starter. He cited competitive reasons for not doing so, but his stance eventually led to sparring with members of the New York region and Jets press corps.

The Jets (0-7) had both Fields and Taylor in the game last week in a 13-6 loss to the Carolina Panthers. The team hasn’t scored a touchdown of any kind in its last two games.
