Why Jaylin Noel could step up big with Nico Collins injured

USA TODAY Sports’ Joe Rivera and Jacob Camenker break down why Texans WR Jaylin Noel is a sneaky sleeper pick in Week 8.

When the NFL closes the book on Week 8, it will do so without the Jacksonville Jaguars having taken a single snap.

The AFC South’s second-place team is one of six clubs with a week off in Week 8. No other week of the 2025 season features as many teams on a bye. Jaguars fans – and fans of the other five teams on a bye – will have all of Oct. 26 to themselves without worrying if their team will celebrate Victory Monday on Oct. 27.

Jacksonville is coming off of a Week 7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams at Wembley Stadium in London. First-round pick and two-way dynamo Travis Hunter had the best game of his young career despite the loss, catching eight passes for 101 yards and a touchdown.

After a one-week break to get through the jet lag and re-calibrate their circadian rhythms, the Jaguars will return to action in Week 9. They’ll head to Sin City for a clash with the Las Vegas Raiders on Nov. 2.

Here’s what to know about Week 8:
