Whether they won or lost, the Ravens organization was always regarded as elite and well-run from top to bottom. After the controversy over Lamar Jackson’s injury status, I have lost all respect for this team, especially coach John Harbaugh (“Ravens QB Lamar Jackson ruled out vs. Bears; NFL looking into status change,” Oct. 26).

Here is a coach who gives out information indicating Lamar’s availability as questionable while being a full participant in practice. But the thing he didn’t tell you was that he was a full participant on the scout team. After the Ravens came clean about Lamar’s injury status, the betting line shifted dramatically. The NFL needs to do a thorough investigation as to whether this was an intentional ploy by the Ravens, knowing all along that Lamar wasn’t playing. If Lamar can play Thursday, then he could have played Sunday, no matter what Harbaugh says. It’s shameful how low this organization has fallen, just shameful.
