Sherwood returned to the game at linebacker for the game’s second quarter.
Sherwood, a fifth-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft out of Auburn, leads the Jets in tackles with 70 through seven games this season.
Sherwood is in his fifth NFL season, all with the Jets.
The Jets are without star receiver Garrett Wilson, quarterback Tyrod Taylor and defensive back Sauce Gardner, a former University of Cincinnati Bearcats standout.
