Relive Atlanta’s 34-10 loss to Miami in Week 8.

The Atlanta Falcons failed to show up in Week 8, allowing the Miami Dolphins to secure just their second win of the season. It was supposed to be a game for the Falcons to get back on track at home, but instead they were blown out, 34-10, by the Dolphins in front of a frustrated Mercedes-Benz Stadium crowd.

Sunday’s loss dropped Atlanta to 3-4 on the season with two tough games coming up against the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts in Weeks 9 and 10. Before we look ahead, though, let’s recap what went down in Week 8.

The Falcons offense got off to a slow start and never found a rhythm. Kirk Cousins filled in for Michael Penix Jr. and was ice cold on third down. Atlanta didn’t convert on a third-down attempt until the third quarter. The team struggled to run the ball, finishing with 45 total yards on the ground.

Bijan Robinson was bottled up for just 25 yards on nine carries. The Dolphins got out to a 17-3 lead in the first half and added 17 more points in the second half. Tua Tagovailoa passed for 205 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions against Atlanta’s top-ranked passing defense.

The Falcons finally scored on a Tyler Allgeier touchdown run in the fourth quarter, but the damage was done long before that. Watch the full-game highlights and top plays from Sunday’s game below.

The Falcons will hit the road in Week 9 to face the red-hot New England Patriots. Atlanta has gone 1-1 against the AFC East thus far this season.
