This is becoming a weekly tradition. And if Jalen Hurts keeps playing like this, it’s not going to stop anytime soon.

Our usual Roob’s Eagles Stats will have to wait until Tuesday. Because for the second week in a row Hurts played at such an elite level he earned his own one-man Roob’s Stats column.

So here’s a special edition Jalen Hurts Stats, which should give you a pretty good sense of just exactly how well he’s been playing. He’s doing things that have never – or rarely – been done before. Here’s a look at some of them!

(Note that I somehow ended up with two No. 6’s, so you’re actually getting 11 stats instead of 10!)

1A. Through eight games, Hurts has completed 70 percent of his passes with 15 touchdowns and one interception. The only other quarterback in NFL history at 70 percent with at least 15 TDs and one or fewer INT through eight games is Drew Brees, who was at 76 percent, 17 TDs and one INT eight games into the 2018 season. Hurts is only the seventh quarterback in NFL history with 70 percent, 15 TDs and one INT in any eight-game span in history (within one season). Brees, Kirk Cousins, Lamar Jackson, Jordan Love, Aaron Rodgers and Deshaun Watson also did it.

1B. Hurts’ 114.4 passer rating is highest ever by an Eagles’ quarterback after eight games. Previous high was Carson Wentz’s 109.6 after eight games in 2018.

2. This is a fun one from a Stathead search: Hurts has now gone 12 consecutive home games without throwing an interception, tying Aaron Rodgers for the longest streak in NFL history – minimum 20 attempts per game. Rodgers started 12 straight games for the Packers at Lambeau Field over the 2014 and 2015 seasons without an INT. In his career, Hurts has thrown 1,158 passes at the Linc with 15 interceptions, or one every 77 pass attempts. The only QB in history who’s averaged fewer INTs at home is Rodgers with one every 93 attempts. Patrick Mahomes (71.2) is third on that list.

3. Hurts has now gone 26 consecutive games with one or fewer interceptions, the 13th-longest streak in history. He’s thrown just two INTs in that span, the fewest ever by a starting QB in any 26-game span. Since Cor’Dale Flott ended Hurts’ streak of 304 passes without an interception – 10th-longest streak in history – Hurts has thrown 50 passes without an INT, which means only one of his last 354 passes has been picked off. Going back farther, since Week 4 last year, he’s thrown two interceptions in his last 527 pass attempts. He’s the only quarterback in history with two or fewer INTs in any 500-pass span.

4. In his last two games, Hurts has completed 79 percent of his passes with seven touchdown passes and no interceptions for 507 yards. He’s the first Eagles quarterback to put up those numbers in a two-game span and only the eighth in NFL history, a group that also includes Hall of Famers or future Hall of Famers Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Joe Montana. His 155.2 passer rating against the Vikings and Giants is 2nd-highest by an Eagles QB in a two-game span, just behind Nick Foles’ 155.3 against the Raiders and Packers in 2013. It’s also tied for 6th-highest by any NFL quarterback in a two-game span, behind Jared Goff last year (157.5), Brock Purdy in 2023 (157.3), Peyton Manning in 2004 (156.9), Kurt Warner in 1999 (155.3) and Foles and tied with Steve Young in 1997.

5. With a 158.3 vs. the Vikings and a 141.5 Sunday – the two-highest passer ratings of his career – Hurts is the second Eagles QB with a passer rating over 140 in consecutive games (minimum 20 attempts). In 1992, Randall Cunningham had 156.6 rating in a Week 2 win over the Cards in Tempe and a 146.7 a week later in a win over the Broncos at the Vet. Nick Foles had a 158.3 in his seven-TD game in Oakland in 2013 and a 149.3 a week later in Green Bay but with only 18 attempts. Hurts is the 19th player in history with back-to-back games over 140. Cunningham is the only player ever with two streaks with a passer rating over 140 – he also did it with the Vikings in 1998.

6. Hurts now has a career won-loss record of 52-22 in 74 career starts. The only QBs with more wins in their first 74 starts are Patrick Mahomes (59), Ken Stabler (57), Roger Staubach (55), Tom Brady (55), Lamar Jackson (54), Daryle Lamonica (53) and Russell Wilson (53).

6 1/2. In his last two games, Hurts has thrown seven touchdowns and nine incomplete passes. He’s the eighth QB in history with nine or fewer incompletions and seven or more TD passes in a two-week span. In the last 40 years, only Kurt Warner, Robert Griffin III, Alex Smith, Lamar Jackson and Aaron Rodgers have also done that. He’s also the 14thplayer in history with consecutive games at 75 percent, three or more TDs and no INTs. Nobody has ever put up those numbers in three straight games.

7. Before last weekend, there had only been nine games in Eagles history where a quarterback completed 75 percent of his passes with three or more touchdowns and no interceptions. Hurts has now done that twice in eight days.

8. Hurts is the first Eagles quarterback in 77 years to throw four touchdown passes in a game in which he threw 20 or fewer passes. In 1948 Tommy Thompson threw four TD passes in 18 attepts in a 45-0 win over the Boston Yanks at Shibe Park.

9. Hurts increased his combined touchdown total in his 79 career starts to 159 – 99 passing and 60 rushing. Only four quarterbacks in NFL history have recorded more passing and rushing touchdowns combined in their first 79 starts – Patrick Mahomes (189), Dan Marino (175), Aaron Rodgers (176) and Josh Allen (170).

10. With one interception in 179 pass attempts this year, Hurts has improved his career interception ratio from one INT every 52.3 attempts coming into this season to one every 56.0 attempts, and he’s jumped from 7th-best all-time to 5th-best, passing Russell Wilson and Tom Brady (who were both at the game Sunday). He now trails only Aaron Rodgers (one INT every 68.9 passes), Patrick Mahomes (60.2), Justin Herbert (58.9) and Joe Burrow (56.7). He’s also improved from 21st in completion percentage coming into this season (64.6) to 17th(65.1 percent).
