The New York Giants fell to the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-20, on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field. The loss dropped them to 2-6 on the season, but much worse than that, rookie running back Cam Skattebo suffered a gruesome ankle injury that required emergency surgery.
Without Skattebo, the Giants lose much of their youthful and energetic leadership. Paired with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, the tandem gave Big Blue life.
