The Seattle Seahawks exit their Week 8 bye with a division-leading record of 5-2. The NFL trade deadline is next week on November 4th. The bye week provided John Schneider and Mike Macdonald with an opportunity to reassess their roster and weigh potential deadline acquisitions.
One position the Seahawks could consider upgrading is right guard. Starter Anthony Bradford has especially struggled in pass protection, posting a grade of 18.0 according to Pro Football Focus. If Schneider is placing calls, dialing his old pal Pete Carroll may be worthwhile.

Carroll’s Las Vegas Raiders are 2-5. They need draft capital to help accelerate this offseason’s inevitable rebuild. One player the Raiders may be willing to trade is interior offensive linemen Jackson Powers-Johnson. Powers-Johnson has routinely found himself in Carroll’s doghouse this season.
Powers-Johnson has been benched on multiple outings. For some reason, Carroll has occasionally preferred to play underwhelming veteran Alex Cappa in his place. If Powers-Johnson is on the outs in Vegas, Schneider needs to be attentive to the situation.
The Seahawks may weigh deadline upgrades. Carroll’s presence makes the Raiders a natural partner for Schneider in any discussions. Powers-Johnson would improve Klint Kubiak’s offensive line, and he’s also versatile enough to play center.
