Jeremy Cluff writes: “With apologies to the Patriots, Colts and Broncos, Chargers and others, this game could be an AFC Championship Game preview and the Chiefs are still the defending AFC champions. Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City will win a thriller in Buffalo.”

Bookies.com: Bet the Chiefs to cover vs Bills

Bill Speros writes: “Jim Nantz and Tony Romo voice the 10th chapter in the Patrick Mahomes vs. Josh Allen Saga. This chapter’s storyline offers a rematch of January’s AFC Championship Game. The Chiefs and the refs won that one 32-29 in a thrilling fashion. Allen and the Bills hold a 4-1 edge in the regular season. (The lone KC win came in 2020.) But Mahomes, the Chiefs, and Park Avenue have won each of the 4 playoff matchups. Kansas City faced Washington Monday night. The 5-2 Bills served notice with a 40-9 bludgeoning of host Carolina Sunday. But that carried a mirage feel given they smashed a depleted Panthers squad without Bryce Young. Meanwhile, Mahomes suddenly has a top-tier group of targets on his radar. Kansas City’s defense continues to cover for whatever shortcomings remain on offense. Ahead of Monday night, the Chiefs allowed just 17.7 points and 174.6 yards per game, both 3rd in the NFL.”

The site’s formula predicts that the Chiefs will win the NFL Week 9 game against the Bills.

ESPN: Chiefs have a 56% chance to beat Bills on Sunday

The site gives the Bills a 43.7% shot at winning the NFL Week 9 game, with the remaining percentage accounting for a tie.

Dimers: Bills 25, Chiefs 23

It writes: “After extensive simulations, our model gives the Chiefs a win probability of 41%, while the Bills have a win probability of 59%.”

Sportsnaut: Kansas City Chiefs 34, Buffalo Bills 24

Matt Johnson writes: “The recent history of these Kansas City Chiefs versus Buffalo Bills matchups would suggest that Josh Allen wins in Week 9 and Patrick Mahomes earns the more important victory in a playoff rematch. Buffalo might not experience a win over Kansas City this season. The Chiefs’ offense (31.5 points and 411.8 total yards per game since Week 4) is on fire, playing at a level the league hasn’t seen from it in years. Meanwhile, Buffalo’s defense ranks 19th in yards-per-play average allowed (5.4) and 23rd in third-down defense (40.2 percent conversion rate). Allen will do all he can, but the Chiefs look like they are in a higher tier right now than Buffalo is.”
