The Chicago Bears will battle the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9, where Chicago is looking to bounce back after a frustrating loss that snapped their four-game winning streak.
The Bears are coming off a disheartening 30-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, which marked their first loss since Week 2. Chicago struggled to score touchdowns, most notably in the red zone, the defense struggled to bring pressure on backup quarterback Tyler Huntley (and also didn’t have the benefit of the four takeaways per game they’ve been getting) and head coach Ben Johnson coached arguably his worst game of the season.
Meanwhile, the Bengals are coming off a 39-38 loss to the winless New York Jets, where they allowed 23 fourth-quarter points in managed to suffer a brutal defeat. Now, Cincinnati looks to be without both Joe Burrow and Joe Flacco, who was acquired via trade, when they face the Bears. Get ready for Jake Browning.
Now, the Bears have a chance to get back on track after a disheartening loss to the Ravens, where they certainly appear to have an advantage heading into this one. Then again, that was the belief heading into their meeting against Baltimore. Can Chicago get back in the win column against a reeling Cincinnati squad?
