Clark Hunt is satisfied with how head coach Andy Reid has maneuvered through the 2025’s rocky 0-2 start.

“One of the things that Andy and his staff have done so well across the years is to help the team improve as we go throughout the season,” noted Hunt. “I think that has been very evident over the last four or so weeks.”

“Brett Veach has historically been pretty aggressive at the trade deadline,” said Hunt. “If he feels like we have a need, he is not shy about going out and addressing it — and I think that will be true again this year.”

Observers continue to debate the team’s top needs, but rookie defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott’s season-ending injury — that might be more impactful than we realize — could provide a clue about which way Veach might go during the coming week.

“An important part of it is where you stand from an injury standpoint,” explained Hunt. “We’ve been pretty fortunate up to this point. [But] we were sad to lose Norman-Lott last week — and that definitely hurt us along the defensive line.”

Now that the Chiefs’ offense looks as dangerous as ever, a move to improve the defensive trenches might be coming.
