The Arizona Cardinals are riding a five-game losing streak, but are not coming off a loss this weekend. That is because the Cardinals were idle in Week 8, getting their bye.
Sitting at home this weekend, they managed to move up in the latest NFL power rankings from USA TODAY’s Nate Davis.

Cardinals move up in new power rankings
It was not much of a move. They went from No. 26 in the league to No. 25.
A team that’s lost five in a row has somehow been outscored by one point over the course of the entire season. Still, unclear if the expected return of QB Kyler Murray is truly a net gain for a team seeking to get back to net positive in the points department.
They will be facing a dreadful Dallas Cowboys defense in Week 9 on Monday night in Dallas, where Murray has never lost, dating back to high school.
However, as bad as the Cowboys’ defense is, their offense is as good, and the Cardinals have allowed 76 fourth-quarter points this season.
Dallas comes in at No. 19 in these power rankings.
