My woes with them and why I have them 9th right now, and maybe not even a true contender, I would say, is the defense, which I think is average, but that’s a big drop off from what they were last year, which was the best defense of football.
Um, their pass rush is okay.
They can’t really stop the run, which is always going to be a worrisome thing for me, especially in the NFC.
If you look at the top teams in the NFC, how many can run the ball.
They’re 25th in rushing success rate allowed, 25th in DVOA rushing, DVOA I should say.
So they could struggle against the run, and they could struggle against anyone you target, that’s not named Quinnen Williams and Cooper De Jean.

Like, you can really get their guys, the other corner on an island and really pick him apart.
And again, when you’re talking about contender or a good playoff team, to me, they’re a playoff team.
Lock it.
I think they have enough on offense, they can run it and they can throw explosives, and um, but defensively is where I’m kind of, I just can’t get over the top at this point.
Now, they have their bye week this week, and you might get the Vic Fangio Oh, you know, voodoo, you know, after the bye week, so they can easily rise up this rank ’cause 9th might be a little harsh for me, but like I, I, it’s, I’m trying, I’m kind of waiting and seeing ’cause there’s just something a little off right now with the defense.

So maybe that’s why I had them a little lower than you.
Um, I think you have them too low, and I think I might have them too high.
So if we Goldilocks should be in the middle, you know, like, I like talking out, that’s what it feels like they’re the top non-contender team for me right now, if that makes sense.
