San Francisco is trading a sixth-round 2026 NFL Draft pick to the New England Patriots in exchange for defensive end Keion White and a 2026 seventh-rounder, NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reported, citing sources.

White tallied five sacks and started 13 games for the Patriots during the 2024 NFL season but has yet to record a sack this year, posting six tackles — two solo — in five games and one start with New England so far in 2025. The former second-round pick in the 2023 draft out of Georgia Tech recorded one sack as a rookie.

White, 26, will look to help the 49ers fill out their limping D-line, which has sustained multiple injuries at defensive end in Nick Bosa, Bryce Huff, Yetur Gross-Matos and Sam Okuayinonu. To make matters worse, Trevis Gipson, who has seen significant playing time in recent weeks, was signed off of San Francisco’s practice squad by the Carolina Panthers earlier on Tuesday.
