The Green Bay Packers didn’t select a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft, but they added one May 12 when they signed Taylor Elgersma after a tryout.

Elgersma’s name is likely not recognized by fans because he was a college football star in Canada. He was selected in the second round of the 2025 CFL draft by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers after throwing for over 4,000 yards in his senior season.

Elgersma, 23, will likely be competing with Sean Clifford for the third quarterback spot with the Packers.
