The Kansas City Chiefs will be without veteran running back Isiah Pacheco and rookie offensive lineman Josh Simmons during their Week 9 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
Pacheco sustained a knee injury during Kansas City’s latest victory over the Washington Commanders on ‘Monday Night Football’ and did not participate in any of the Chiefs’ practice sessions this week.

Likewise, Simmons was a non-participant in Kansas City’s workouts due to an ongoing personal matter that has required him to be away from team facilities.
The Chiefs officially announced that Pacheco and Simmons would be out for Week 9 in a post to Twitter on Friday:
With Pacheco sidelined, Kansas City is likely to give running backs Kareem Hunt, Brashard Smith, and Elijah Mitchell more carries in the ground game. The Chiefs may also decide to elevate second-year rusher Carson Steele from their practice squad, though the team may decide that Hunt, Smith, and Mitchell are all it needs against the Bills.

Offensive linemen Wanya Morris and Jaylon Moore are expected to fill in for Simmons in Week 9.
