Lifelong Eagles fan Trey Yesavage makes the perfect wardrobe choice as his Toronto Blue Jays eye history.

Trey Yesavage is something special. The Toronto Blue Jays have long been aware of this. Those who may not be in the know are figuring it out now. He’s the second-youngest pitcher to start Game 1 of the World Series.

He’s also now the owner of the record for most strikeouts by a rookie pitching on that stage after a phenomenal Game 5 showing. Oh, and by the way, he’s a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan. One has to love how this story is already starting.

In addition to his twelve strikeouts in Game 5, he went seven innings and allowed only one earned run vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers. His strikeout count in the Fall Classic now stands at 39. Yes, that is also a rookie record.

Following the game, he shared a moment with a loved one, his girlfriend Taylor. Yesavage was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He’s also a bit of a fashionista, it seems. One has to love the Kelly green on him and his lovely lady.

At the time of this story’s release, the Blue Jays were one win away from winning the World Series. Suppose you lived through the nineties. Hearing that will never sound appeasing, but any fan of the Birds is naturally a friend of ours. We’ll see what happens. Interested eyes will undoubtedly be watching.

It seems like we say this every year, but we’ve witnessed a fantastic World Series. There’s only one more thing to say as we close.

You guys probably already know where this is headed. After watching the Philadelphia Phillies‘ season go up in flames, it makes one wonder how nice it would have been had this young man ended up with the Fightins.
