This Halloween night is the last chance for FHSAA and GHSA teams to secure the treat of a playoff appearance. We have a breakdown of all those playoff implications here. For teams that have had a more tricky season, it’s the opportunity to finish on a high note.
The biggest treat of them all this week is the Winnersville Classic between Lowndes and Valdosta. The Vikings would secure a region title and perfect regular season by beating their arch rivals, while the Wildcats hope to turn those dreams of perfection into a Halloween nightmare and take the region title for themselves.
In the Big Bend, two teams in the Sunshine State Athletic Association begin their playoff runs this week. Aucilla Christian welcomes Central Florida Christian to Monticello. Franklin County battled hard Thursday night, but fell to Paxon in Jacksonville.
