This week, the Pittsburgh Steelers sent assistant general manager Andy Weidl to Columbus to scout the top prospects in the Ohio State vs Penn State matchup. Weidl is the guy in the Steelers front office who is responsible for scouting and player selection when it comes to the NFL draft.
This game is loaded with prospects but one thing it doesn’t have is a quarterback. Penn State quarterback Drew Allar suffered a season-ending injury but should be ready for the NFL scouting combine. Nevertheless, with Weidl at the game, there are plenty of other positions the Steelers are prioritizing in the early rounds other than quarterback.
Here are the 10 best Steelers prospects in today’s game for the 2026 NFL draft.
1 – S Caleb Downs – Ohio State
2 – WR Carnell Tate – Ohio State
3 – LB Arvell Reese – Ohio State
4 – CB A.J. Harris – Penn State
5 – DT Kayden McDonald – Ohio State
6 – TE Max Klare – Ohio State
7 – CB David Igbinosun – Ohio State
8 – CB A.J. Harris – Penn State
9 – G Olaivavega Ioane – Penn State
10 – S Zakee Wheatley – Penn State
