After defeating the throwback-clad Pittsburgh Steelers last week, the Green Bay Packers will be wearing their own throwback uniforms on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. For the first time, the Packers will don the “1923 Classic” uniform, a look featuring navy and gold uniforms and a replica leather brown helmet.
The uniform is based on the 1923 season, a pivotal point in franchise history. The helmets, the first of its kind in the NFL, are painted faux leather with a navy blue facemask. The jersey is navy blue with gold numbers and shoulder stripes, and the pants are a tan variant. More on the look and history of the 1923 uniform can be found here.

The Green Bay Packers will wear these uniforms based on the team’s 1923 uniforms during one game this season. The uniform includes a modern helmet hand painted to look like a leather helmet. This is a display in the Packers Pro Shop on July 24, 2025, in Green Bay, Wis.
The Panthers will counter with white jerseys, silver helmets and light blue pants, potentially creating an interesting-looking uniform matchup of old vs. new.

The Packers have been around for over 100 years and are celebrating a rich history. The Panthers, meanwhile, debuted in the NFL in 1995 and have worn the same uniform, more or less, for 30 straight years.
