The Washington Commanders host the Seattle Seahawks on primetime television this Sunday night at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.
Seattle is fresh off a bye, but they have their work cut out for them as they travel across time zones to face a Washington team that is hungry for a win. A team that gets its starting quarterback lining up under center again after missing last week with a hamstring injury. A team that has serious bounce-back potential against the Seahawks in Week 9.
There are always bets to be made in every game, but not all of them are worth taking. The Commanders and Seahawks have some interesting matchups in Week 9, so let’s take a look at the three best player prop bets in this game, per BetMGM.
Passing yards: QB Jayden Daniels OVER 200 yards -300
This may feel risky to some, and maybe it is, but Daniels is likely to come out on fire on Sunday night. He’s not happy he’s missed games this season, and he’s not happy that the Commanders are losing. The Seahawks have one of the top run defenses in the league, and Daniels can nickel-and-dime them to death with slot passes to Zach Ertz, Deebo Samuel, Jacory Croskey-Merrit, and Jeremy McNichols.
Receiving yards: WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba OVER 100 yards -120
Smith-Njigba leads the NFL with 819 receiving yards in seven games. He’s almost 100 yards ahead of the next guy. He’s gone over 100 yards receiving in five of Seattle’s seven games this season. The Commanders have allowed big plays throughout the season, making this a safe bet.
Anytime touchdown scorer: WR Deebo Samuel +135
Samuel and Croskey-Merritt combine for half of the Commanders’ touchdowns this season with five apiece. Without Terry McLaurin on the field, Samuel becomes the most reliable target for Jayden Daniels, and the slot is where he shines. As Daniels exploits the defensive gaps in the middle of Seattle’s defense, Samuel will use his veteran knowledge to put himself in a good position to score a touchdown.
