The Sunday afternoon window for Week 9 is headlined by two big MVP quarterbacks looking to build on their respective seasons; another duel between league MVPs Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes always makes for an intriguing matchup.
Chiefs-Bills presents a rematch of last season’s AFC title game between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs, which the Chiefs won 32-29. However, Buffalo did beat Kansas City during the regular season last year and hopes for a repeat of that performance. These teams are even in head-to-head battles, at five wins apiece, including the postseason, since 2017. Both currently sit in an unfamiliar position, which is second place in their respective divisions.

The Jacksonville Jaguars opened up overtime with a touchdown
WR Austin Trammell started off the drive returning the opening kickoff in overtime for a whopping 54 yards, giving the Jaguars prime field position from the jump.
The Jags’ run game, piloted by Travis Etienne Jr. and Bhayshul Tuten, get the offense to the goal line before quarterback Trevor Lawrence takes it for himself. The extra point from Cam Little is good, and the Jaguars hold a 30-23 lead with 3:24 left in the 10-minute overtime period.

Bills DE Michael Hoecht made his season debut after serving a six-game suspension for violating the league’s PED policy and had an immediate impact — although it was short-lived. He notched half a sack against Patrick Mahomes prior to his exit, and was ruled out with an Achilles injury.

Jaguars kicker Cam Little — who made history Sunday afternoon with the longest field goal made in history — tied up the game from 48 yards with a field goal with 16 seconds left in regulation.
Raheem Mostert returned the kickoff for 32 yards, but Geno Smith took a sack from Joshua Hines-Allen for a five-yard loss to wind out the clock and send the game into overtime.

The Los Angeles Rams came out punching after their bye, as the offense steamrolled the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon.
Matthew Stafford was as efficient as ever, completing 24 of 32 passes for 281 yards and four touchdowns. He threw a touchdown apiece to WR Puka Nacua and TE Tyler Higbee and a pair of them to Davante Adams.
It wasn’t just the passing game that cooked, however. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum combined for 172 rushing yards and a touchdown on their own.
Saints second-round rookie quarterback Tyler Shough will have plenty of takeaways from his first career start (and plays he’ll want back). Things weren’t pretty, and he wasn’t the magic cure for the offense that the Saints were hoping for. (Surprise!)

Brock Bowers is, indeed, BACK.
He’s been out since Week 4 with a knee injury, and the Las Vegas Raiders clearly can’t be happier to have him in the mix.
With Bowers’ second touchdown of the day, the Raiders took a 23-20 lead over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Bowers now has nine catches for 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns in his first game back from injury.

Puka Nacua didn’t enter the game after returning to the sideline, but he did return in full pads and uniform after halftime, which could be a positive sign.
There have been no formal updates on Nacua’s status yet after the initial report that he was deemed questionable with a chest injury, however, one would wonder if he might be more inclined to return to the lineup if the Rams didn’t have a strong lead over the Saints in this game.

I hope you aren’t playing Josh Allen in fantasy this week …
With over a full quarter to go, Josh Allen is already the fourth-highest scoring quarterback in Yahoo Fantasy leagues with 27.32 points — 253 passing yards, 1 touchdown and 0 INT with 12 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Allen has completed passes to nine different receivers, with Dalton Kincaid leading the pack, catching all five of his targets for 92 yards and a touchdown.
The Bills now lead the Chiefs, 28-13.

The Los Angeles Rams are looking unstoppable coming off their Week 8 bye.
Here’s a look at the Rams’ drives so far in this game:
For those keeping track, that’s a touchdown scored on five of eight drives in Week 9. The Saints? Different story.

After an injury scare to close out the first half, it appears Travis Kelce is in working order, connecting with Patrick Mahomes for a 28-yard chunk gain down the field.

There was some concern for star tight end Travis Kelce, who left the field a tad early ahead of halftime after taking a big hit in the end zone, but it appears there’s good news.
Kelce returned to the field after halftime and appears good to go.
The Bills will receive the second-half kickoff.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is dealing tonight, tossing his third touchdown of the day — this time, another one to WR Davante Adams.
Adams has dominated this game so far (and particularly, touches in the end zone this season), with a 5-60-2 line.
Adams now has had back-to-back games with multiple receiving touchdowns, and has scored a touchdown in all but three of his eight games played this year — an impressive run for the 32-year-old, seeking a bounce-back after a disappointing tenure with the Jets.
Stafford has now gone 23-of-30 for 268 passing yards, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions for a passer rating of 142.8.

It’s the second time Josh Allen and Dalton Kincaid have connected for a monster play! This time, it’s a 47-yard reception for Kincaid, bringing his total through just under two quarters to a 3-71-1 line.
The Chiefs’ defense took Kincaid down at KC’s own 8-yard line, setting up a rushing touchdown for Ty Johnson, who took back-to-back carries at the goal line.
With the successful extra point attempt, the Bills now hold a 14-10 lead over the Chiefs with just under seven minutes to go in the first half.
