The Carolina Panthers may have proven that they’ve finally turned a corner in Week 9, by pulling off the biggest upset of the 2025 NFL season.
On Sunday, the two-touchdown underdogs turned Lambeau Field upside down—triumphing over the heavily-favored, NFC-leading Green Bay Packers in a 16-13 win. The victory was clinched, as the game clock run out, by a 49-yard field goal from rookie Ryan Fitzgerald—who has now recorded two walk-off kicks this year.

Carolina’s stunner was also headlined by running back Rico Dowdle, who rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns, and a stingy defense that turned a potent Packers offense away in four of their five red-zone visits.
Now, the Panthers stand at 5-4, and are winners in four of their last five outings. And that, obviously, has them feeling awfully great.
