Detroit Lions fans don’t have to go far to catch game day excitement.
FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) –Â The Lions took on NFC North rivals the Minnesota Vikings at Ford Field Sunday.
But fans didn’t have to travel far to catch the excitement.
GB’s Pub on Fenton Road in Flint was packed with fans showing their Honolulu Blue pride.
The popular spot, known for great food and drinks, was running a few specials on Sunday — including 89-cent wings on game days.
Here’s what one Lions fan had to say about the season so far.
“I was born into being a Lions fan all my life, and obviously, the Lions have never been well in the last three years,” said fan Jacob Darrling. “They came back and they’ve done well, and last year I was in Japan when I saw them doing really really well and unfortunately they lost to the Commanders and like, I said I was in Japan when I saw them lose, but this year I think that the Lions have something to prove this year and I think that this is going to be their year.”Â
The Lions came up just short against Minnesota in a 27-24 loss.Â
Detroit looks to regroup and bring Sunday’s energy on the road in Washington.
