Jason Kelce admits ‘tush push’ could be banned if NFL can’t officiate it properly

Ralphie Aversa spoke with former Eagles center Jason Kelce about the infamous tush push play and what could lead it to being banned by the NFL.

Sports Seriously

Fantasy football managers are entering the stretch runs of their regular seasons. That means they are more desperate than ever to get wins that allow them to qualify for the fantasy postseason.

It won’t necessarily be easy to do that in Week 10. A few of the league’s most high-powered offenses – the Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs – will be on bye. The Tennessee Titans will also be off, thinning the ranks of available flex options.

As such, fantasy managers on the cusp of playoff berths will be looking to find immediate-impact players on the waiver wire. Luckily, there appear to be plenty of options to target on the waiver wire, including a couple of running backs earning solid between-the-tackles roles and a couple of tight ends who can be potential injury replacements for Tucker Kraft (knee).

Here’s a look at the best players to target on waivers ahead of Week 10.

Week 10 fantasy football waiver wire targetsRB Terrell Jennings, New England Patriots (Rostered in 1% of Yahoo leagues)

The Patriots gave TreVeyon Henderson an expanded role with Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) out of the lineup, but Jennings was still plenty involved as a between-the-tackles runner. Henderson out-touched him 18-12, but Jennings got a few red-zone carries and managed to punch his way into the end-zone for a score.

If Stevenson remains out, Jennings could continue to get a bulk of the Patriots’ goal-line opportunities, as the 6-0, 217-pound back is built bigger than the 5-10, 202-pound Henderson. That would make the Florida A&M product a decent, TD-dependent flex option for fantasy purposes.

RB Devin Singletary, New York Giants (Rostered in 5% of Yahoo leagues)

Many believed Tyrone Tracy Jr. would be the Giants‘ workhorse with Cam Skattebo out of the lineup. Instead, he split the workload relatively evenly with Singletary, who saw eight carries compared to Tracy’s five.

That said, Singletary averaged 5.4 yards per carry against the 49ers compared to 3.6 for Tracy. If Singletary continues to outperform Tracy, he could emerge as the Giants’ top back, which would make him a solid flex to low-end RB2 play each week.

WR DeMario “Pop” Douglas, New England Patriots (Rostered in 4% of Yahoo leagues)

Kayshon Boutte exited the Patriots’ 24-23 win over the Falcons because of a hamstring injury. That allowed Douglas to see more opportunities as a down-the-field receiver, and he turned a team-high-tying six targets into four catches for 100 yards and a touchdown.

If Boutte remains out long-term, Douglas could emerge as a consistent and reliable target for Drake Maye. The second-year quarterback has been one of the NFL’s best downfield passers this season, so adding his potential top receivers is a strong, high-upside move.

TE Colston Loveland, Chicago Bears (Rostered in 23% of Yahoo leagues)

Loveland had his breakout game in the Bears‘ 47-42 win over the Bengals. The first-round rookie led the team in receiving yards (118) and touchdowns (2) while tying Olamide Zaccheaus for the team lead in catches (6).

The caveat to Loveland’s breakout is that the Bengals have been the NFL’s worst defense against tight ends this season. Still, the contact balance Loveland showed fighting through tackles on his game-winning, 57-yard touchdown should inspire hope he can continue to improve as his rookie season progresses.

Add in that Cole Kmet suffered a concussion in the win and his status for Week 10 will be iffy and Loveland could emerge as a solid streaming tight end short-term.

TE Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans (Rostered in 27% of Yahoo leagues)

Schultz could emerge as the ideal fantasy replacement for Tucker Kraft. The Texans tight end led the team with six catches and 77 yards against a tough Broncos defense and has averaged 64.75 receiving yards per game over his last four outings.

Schultz’s production has come with both C.J. Stroud and Davis Mills at quarterback. So, if Stroud can’t play in Week 10 after suffering a concussion, Schultz should still have a shot at a quality outing against the Jacksonville Jaguars. That makes him worth targeting as a high-floor replacement.

QB Joe Flacco, Cincinnati Bengals (Rostered in 52% of Yahoo leagues)

In four games since joining the Bengals, Flacco has averaged 313.5 passing yards per game with 11 touchdowns and two interceptions. He is also averaging an other-worldly 43.25 passing attempts per game and figures to continue getting that type of volume given that the Bengals are often playing from behind thanks to their hyper-porous defense.

That’s enough to make Flacco a weekly contender to be a top-10 fantasy quarterback. He should be rostered in more than half of Yahoo leagues, and could establish himself as a must-start if he continues to see this type of passing volume.

RB Isaiah Davis, New York Jets (Rostered in 12% of Yahoo leagues)

Is Breece Hall likely to be traded? Maybe not, but it can’t be ruled out if the Jets get a “Godfather” offer for the free-agent-to-be. If that happens, nothing would separate Davis from a workhorse role with Braelon Allen (knee) still out of action.

The Jets were on bye in Week 9 but Davis had 109 yards on 12 touches against the Bengals. Cincinnati is very weak against running backs, but Davis’ performance should inspire confidence in him as a potential PPR flex.

WR Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars (Rostered in 18% of Yahoo leagues)

Travis Hunter was placed on IR after suffering a non-contact knee injury in practice. That opened the door for Washington to operate as Jacksonville’s No. 2 receiver across from Brian Thomas Jr.

Washington ended up leading the team in targets (9), receptions (8) and receiving yards (90) while showing good chemistry with Trevor Lawrence. He’s worth stashing, especially considering that Thomas Jr. has gotten banged up at various points throughout the season.

WR Calvin Austin III, Pittsburgh Steelers (Rostered in 11% of Yahoo leagues)

The Steelers could trade for another receiver ahead of the 2025 NFL trade deadline. If not, Austin figures to be their No. 2 receiver after leading the team with five catches and 56 yards in Week 9 against the Colts.

Austin has posted six targets in back-to-back games and is healthy after dealing with an early-season shoulder injury. He has good speed and could be a boom candidate from the flex spot moving forward.
