BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – After a lot of losses from ranked teams Saturday, the new AP Top 25 released Sunday had some shakeup in the rankings.
Ranked teams that lost Saturday include Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, Miami, Tennessee, and Cincinnati, all who dropped big in the polls.
Texas, Oklahoma, and Utah, who each had ranked wins Saturday, all jumped up seven spots in the rankings, the highest of any team. The top 7 teams from the previous polls all remained in their same spots this week.
Sunday wasn’t just a big news in the polls, but also in the coaching world after Auburn fired head coach Hugh Freeze after the Tigers’ 10-3 loss to Kentucky Saturday night.
